週あたり 1-2 時間. On average there is usually 1 homework assignment each week. Homework may be a short reading from the science journal, collecting materials for an upcoming experiment, or completing an experiment that we started in class. Completing assignments make it possible for our class time to be productive and fun. Here is a list of probably assignments for each week: WEEK 1: Research a Scientist WEEK 2: Journal Reading; Density Scavenger Hunt WEEK 3: Journal Reading WEEK 4: Journal Reading WEEK 5: Journal Reading WEEK 6: Journal Reading WEEK 7: Design Your Own Momentum Experiment WEEK 8: Newton's Laws Summary Page

This hands-on, interactive science class gives students in GRADES 4-6 a foundation in the basics of physics. Through experiments, engaging books, and fascinating, interactive science videos, students discover the way the world works around them. The class follows the R.E.A.L Science Odyssey curriculum, which incorporates math, the scientific process, and science topics at age-appropriate levels. Students create scientific models, compare results, form questions, and interpret data, just like REAL scientists!

This class may be taken as a stand-alone class, but it is also designed to be part of a full-year 36-week science curriculum for grades 4-6. This class is PART 1 of 4.

PART 1 (this class): Intro to Physics
PART 2: The Physics of Rube Goldberg
PART 3: Invisible Forces
PART 4: Electricity & Quantum Physics
