- Instructor recommends using WATER-BASED makeup (such as the water-activated cake makeup used in face painting or a liquid color foundation at least 2 or 3 shades lighter than learner’s skin tone) for the pale base. If using grease paints (such as Clown White or cream foundation), please bring loose translucent powder or baby powder, as well as a powder puff or brush to set the color. I recommend Mehron Fantasy FX liquid makeup in WHITE to lighten any regular liquid foundation (around US$3-4 and you can use your fingers to apply and translucent or baby powder to set) or any water-activated cake makeup (such as Mehron Paradise, Max Factor Pan-Cake, Fusion, Wolfe, Diamond FX, FAB, PartyXplosion, etc.). Please bring a makeup sponge or dense brush if using cake makeup. - Pigmented eye shadows in black, white, red, gray, brown for highlighting and contouring the face.
- Red lipliner AND black eyeliner pencils.
- Honey, maple syrup or corn syrup AND red, white, blue food coloring (for blood).
- Optional use of customizable fangs and/or Poly-plastics (polymorph) to make fangs, OR store-bought vampire fangs.
- In addition, bring all personal makeup products and brushes, as well as rubbing alcohol or toner (Witch Hazel or similar), cotton wool/rounds, baby powder, cotton swabs (Q-tips), makeup wipes or micellar water. We will work with tools that each student has at home.
