Through the use of various biofacts, (skulls and bones) students will learn the differences and similarities between horns and antlers. Rather than have a stand up lecture format, students will facilitate their own learning as I guide them through finding the answers. We will review deer, antelope, predator/prey relationships and other topics that might arise through creative thinking.
Students should be able to identify the differences between horns and antlers and name examples of each.
I’m a former zookeeper and informal science educator for over 10 years using my own biofacts and my own lessons to facilitate learning in an informal and discussion based learning environment.
