This is an early childhood music and storytime class in a print-rich and prop-filled environment. We'll start by getting to know each other, as I give each student a chance to share with the class a bunny related toy, book, or object. Then, to reinforce name & letter recognition, I'll show them their name card, and practice the first letter and sound in their name. 
Next, we will sing a 'hello' song together. I'll sing a phrase and the students will echo. We will check in with our emotions and how we are feeling. Next, I'll introduce and read the story, "It's Not Easy Being a Bunny", by Marilyn Sadler, with some questions and interactions. After the story, I'll use a little "magic" to turn the kids into bunnies, and we'll sing & move our bodies to the "Hop Little Bunny" song. To close the class, I'll teach the students a simple 'goodbye' song.
