I teach in a positive non-accusatory manner. This helps students become more comfortable in all of my classes. All children are welcome in my classroom!

This class is not just about little white lies. We will discuss why we make the choice to say something that isn't true. What may seem like the easier way out is usually just the beginning of the issue. I will help children understand how repeated lying will change how people react to them and how when we start being honest, we will gain the respect and character that we can be proud of ourselves, and others will appreciate. 

When children see they are not the only ones dealing with an issue, it becomes easier for them to understand it can be changed and how to go about it. Students will not be asked personal questions, this class is for them to gain new tools on how to take a moment before they speak so when they do answer, they can choose the right thing to say, as well as the consequences of not being honest. 

We will also cover being a good example, lying to avoid consequences/chores, manipulation, misleading words and why taking the easiest path may not be the right one.
