Students will acquire and demonstrate skills in critical analysis of primary and secondary historical sources. Objectives: Interpret information, and other forms of evidence, in their historical context. Differentiate between historical fact and Mythical fiction. 

Having graduated with a degree in art history, I have been trained to look at and research works of art (from all eras) in order to see, find and contribute to the historical narrative of a piece of artwork or artifact. Being of Celtic ancestry I developed an extreme interest is the ancient Celts and devoted a passion to the study of their culture. I am a 10th generational American and have experienced Halloween in this nation first hand, as well as, hearing eye witness testimony from my parents and grandparents on their experiences of Halloween.

The students will be given a Traditional Soul Cake recipe and will be encouraged to complete this activity with a family member at home.

Secondary Resource: Sir Barrington Windsor Cunliffe, CBE, FBA, FSA (born 10 December 1939), known as Barry Cunliffe, is a British archaeologist and academic. He was Professor of European Archaeology at the University of Oxford from 1972 to 2007. Since 2007, he has been an emeritus professor. Cunliffe is an expert on the ancient Celtic culture and societies, his book The Ancient Celts is widely used to teach about the Celts.
