This class is a flexible class so a video will be posted each week and the student may access  it at their convenience!  Additionally, the teacher will be in communication with all the students via the classroom!  Lastly, students should expect to share their work via flip grid and participate in classroom discussions.  While this is a flex class, communication And participation is crucial.  Students will be expected to comment on other students work and give feedback! This will be discussed the beginning of class!  I like to keep students positive and share age appropriate critique techniques that enhance the view perception!

This class focuses on the early high school learner who is entering 9-12 grade.  The goal of this course is to provide a introduction of the arts by using a wide variety of media and exposing students to many different artists.  As an art teacher, I believe in giving some background content and inspiration through an artist prior to creating a work of art using a new technique.  This course will give students an introduction to a vast amount of media and techniques.  I am an interactive teacher who uses a student centered approach, so I love when students participate and will look forward to that in the classroom.  The lesson will start with an introduction and tie to an artist with a review of artwork and necessary vocabulary.  From there, students will be introduced to a new skill and be given a demonstration on how to complete the lesson for that week by the teacher.  Lastly students will receive feedback on all work posted and the teacher will be available to assist as needed! Again, students will be asked to post their work through flip grid and give constructive feedback led by the instructors in the classroom!

All materials will be posted at the beginning of the week and topics may change slightly depending on the students and what is needed to ensure their success!
