I have thirty-five years of teaching experience at the high school level. I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Art. Plus, I am a lifetime certified, a secondary teacher who still continues to learn online. In recent years, I've taken several online courses to stay current on what is being taught now. I will give the students a heads up as to when they will need the supplies for a lab. These labs may or may not be done in class time. However, the lab must be done to fill the requirement for the course. These are short and safe labs for students to better understand the physiology of the body. Students will be exposed to various preserved specimens (sheep's eye, heart and rabbit lung, etc. ) and medical terminology that the endocrine and reproductive system will cover. Students will also be viewing videos on Youtube to better understand various bodily functions an anatomical parts. CK-12 will be the class reference text used for reading assignments and answering worksheets.
We will use the CK-12 Online Biology Text. We will use Youtube to explain various bodily functions through screen share. We will use Biology Corner for handouts and diagrams.
