It might be hard to imagine now, but winter is not far away! What do you do to stay warm and cozy in the winter? Maybe you turn on the heater, curl up by a fireplace, or warm up with some hot cocoa? Out in the wild, animals have to find their own ways to stay warm so they can survive the winter. For some animals, that means hibernating!
We will learn what that means and how it’s different for a variety of animals. They don’t all hibernate the same way!
Since an animal is going to...We will learn what makes homes specifically suited to each occupant. Then we will think about what we find important or just seems fun to have in our own space, realistically or not.
Former homeschool parent and lifelong nature and outdoor enthusiast. I am passionate about learning about animals and passing that knowledge on! I also encourage reflecting on our current preferences, needs, and goals and comparing them to see our changes and constants every so often.
Paper, pencil, markers, colored pencils, crayons, etc. Students will need something to write, sketch, or draw with.
