In this class we will be doing simple math concepts to help your little one learn basic math skills that they will be able to build on. We will be subitizing, geometry and simple addition and subtraction, patterning and one to one correspondence, All of this will be accomplished by playing different math games while interacting with me. Let's get your child excited about math early on. We will be doing flannels, reading "Rosie's Walk" (Geometry), "Ten Little Fish", "Chicka, Chicka 1,2,3"...
I have taught young children for many years. I feel it is important to make learning fun so the children stay engaged. I feel teaching children math concepts early will help them in years to come. Children love games, so I have created this 6 week class to get to know your child and let them have fun. There is nothing like the laughter of a child. I also offer a 5 part series where you can pick one, two, three, four or all five that focuses on the standards for pre-k-2nd grade.
