In this one-time class we will read "Harold and the Purple Crayon" and other C. Johnson favorites, engage in story retelling creating our own shapes, lines and letters (like Harold) and engage in themed letter, number and color activities. Retelling is an excellent way to ensure children have properly comprehended what they have read. Asking children about the setting, main characters, and plot of the story, can help ensure that they have adequately comprehended the story. Plus, story...
