::::::::::::::::::::::::::: What will be taught? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Each week, we will learn to read and write one to two line of hiragana as well as learning new words that start with those hiragana. Students will learn new hiragana and words each week with writing and speaking practices while hearing sensei speak Japanese. {{Weekly Schedule}} Wk1 // Lesson 1_ あ line and か line Lesson 2_ さ line and た line Lesson 3_ な line and 1st half review Wk2 // Lesson 4_ は line and ま line Lesson 5_ や line and ら line Lesson 6_ わをん line and 2nd half review ★・・・・・・★・・・・・・★ New sections start on this week ★・・・・・・★・・・・・・★ ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: How is your class structured? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Each week, students will learn new line of hiragana while we are meeting live! Learners are expected to follow along and write down the stroke order in a notebook or a sketchbook. We'll also have fun and get busy making our hiragana notes with some doodling on the side. Students are encouraged to post their writing practices on the class bulletin. We'll be making hiragana notes together in a class. So make sure to come to class prepared with all the supplies. Although all of the class materials are presented on screen, I do encourage students to take notes and practice writing. It takes a great deal of repetition of reading and writing before you start to recognize hiragana in sentences. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: How will you teach? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: We will communicate on Outschool's zoom platform. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: How much will learners get to interact with you and each other (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Learning a foreign language is all about interaction!! Once a student starts a class, he/she is expected to share writing samples on the Outschool bulletin weekly and share experiences of writing new hiragana. This could be done in each student's style and this could be one of the fun things to do for the class, because students can showcase their writings in various forms such as in pen and pencil, ink, or painting. We will first learn a line of hiragana and some vocabulary that starts with those hiragana. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Any required experience or knowledge learners need? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Coloring Drawing Following instructions
