As a Gullah Geechee woman and educator, I bring a wealth of personal and professional experience to the Gullah Geechee Detective: Secret African American Language: Black History class. Here is an overview of my background:

- Gullah Geechee Heritage: Growing up in a Gullah Geechee community, I have a deep, lived understanding of our culture, language, and traditions. This personal connection enriches my teaching and allows me to share authentic insights with my students.

- Teaching Experience: I have over 10 years of experience teaching in various educational settings, including public schools, nonprofits, and community organizations. My teaching has focused on African American history, language, and science.

- Work with Children: I have extensive experience working with children in different capacities. I have taught in public schools for over 10 years, worked with youth programs at nonprofits for 5 years, and led educational workshops in community centers for 3 years. My approach is always child-centered, ensuring that learning is engaging, accessible, and meaningful for young learners.

Specific Teaching Roles:
- Public Schools: Taught African American history with a focus on Gullah Geechee culture to elementary, middle and high school students, incorporating interactive and multimedia resources to enhance learning.
