This course will focus on the basics of the Greek language and is designed as an introductory course. We will be meeting twice a week for 30 minute sessions. During these classes we will review what we learned from the prior class and we will add new concepts each time. Each week we will focus on a new topic. We will be learning through games, videos, role play and conversations with each other. This course will run with one student. No prior experience is required to take this course. * Please note: This course outline may change to suit learner needs after class commences if the group or individual student requires more/less support in their learning* Week 1- Introductions and Greetings : My name is _________ Week 2- Introduction to the Greek Alphabet Week 3- Numbers, days of the week and months (date) Week 4- Weather and seasons Week 5- Tying it altogether - reviewing concepts

123 Greek and Jeopardy labs will be used to provide visual learning material for learners. Jeopardy labs will be used on the teachers device as a review game. 123 Greek will be used on the teachers computer as a video to introduce different topics to learners. Learners will not be required to go on these websites on their own.

- I learned Greek and French in school growing up and speak Greek fluently
- I have taught Kindergarten-Grade 6 core classes in Ontario public schools over the last 10 years
