Class will begin with a brief introduction explaining the scenario: The students traveled back in time to ancient Greece. Unfortunately, the return passcode phrase has been lost. Luckily, clues for the passcode phrase were hidden there on a previous trip. Students will be visiting four investigation sites to collect the clues to unlock the code.

Each investigation site requires students to read a one-page myth (child-friendly version). As directed, they will decode a message at each site. The decoding process involves proving story comprehension.  Each student will do their own work, at their own pace.  However, we will all remain together in the main classroom Zoom meeting, so learners can talk about their discoveries with others if they would like to do so.  Did you look behind that vase?  Can we move those books in the blue room?  

A link will be provided to access the escape room individually after the teacher-led introduction. Students will have 45 minutes to decode the clues. If all students escape in fewer than 45 minutes, we'll use any remaining time to reflect on some of the lessons taught in the myths.
