What will be taught: Students will learn the verb be has a special form in the present tense and in the past tense. Students learn how a sentence is about the present time or the past. Students learn how a helping verb helps another verb to show an action. Students learn how linking verb is a verb that does not show an action. Students learn the rules of the comma in names of places like city and state. Students will have a review of the rules they learned in practicing them in sentences. Students will have writing activity practicing the rules of present time and past. Students learn why we write commas between city and state. How will be taught: Nearpod, slides, doc cam, discussion, engagement, and writing activity. Some knowledge will help the student in mechanics and usage of verbs.

Parental guidance in case of technical difficulties or logging on. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
