In this ongoing class, students will review 4th grade skills that they will need for 5th grade math as well as learn foundations of 5th grade math. Week of July 2nd- We will warm up our brains with multiplication fluency. We will work on place value, expanded form, and the relationship between place values (__ is 10 times as much as 400). Week of July 9th- We will warm up our brains with division fluency. We will work on dividing decimals to the power of 10 ( 45,748 divided by 100). Week of July 16th- We will warm up with counting money. Using money to multiply decimals. Week of July 23rd- We will warm up with multiplying by multiples of 10. We will work on 2 digit times 1 digit and 2 digit times 2 digit multiplicaiton. Week of July 30th- We will warm up with division with remainders. We will work on long division. New lessons will be added on for the month of August.
