Students will improve their ability to use maps to communicate information.
Students will have an understanding of the different regions of the United States.

I have over twenty years experience working with and teaching students.  I have a bachelor's degree in both History and Economics.  My master's degree is in Higher Education.  I have studied Diversity in Education and African American history.  I also have a juris doctorate degree in Law.  Most importantly, I have a passion for teaching, history in particular!

Each week, students will receive assignments in Google Classroom.   Sample activities include map activities, web quests, creating interactive notebooks, and many others. 

Students will complete three projects throughout the course.  Students will receive a theme and projects will be centered around the theme.  Examples of projects include slide presentations, short films, visual arts, essays, family interviews, and many others!  Students may also choose their own projects with approval from the teacher.

Parents will receive a written report every four weeks.  A letter grade can be given at the parent's request.
