Physics begins with our everyday life, describing the matter, forces, and energy of ordinary experiences. Fundamentals of Physics: Motion, Forces and Energy is a cooperative, activity-based class, with both in-class activities and a project or challenge to complete each week outside of class. This class is geared towards students working at the 6th through 8th grade level. Students should be able to read, write, and complete basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)....
Students will obtain a deeper understanding of the physical world. They will also gain STEM skills while creating projects, use the scientific method to carry out home-based experiments, and gain confidence and speaking skills while sharing projects with peers in a low-pressure setting.
Before I became an online teacher, I taught Physics in a public middle school for many years. This was one of my favorite classes to teach, because there are so many hands-on activities to use to teach the material.

This is a project based class, so students should be prepared to work for 1-2 hours each week on their projects. Some activities are open-ended engineering projects, in which they design and create a project based on a specific physics topic.
