This is a short class that is for beginners to sight words. We will cover twelve sight words from the Fry Sight Word list that are decodable, meaning that they can be sounded out. Some knowledge of letter sounds would be beneficial for a student to join this class, but is not necessary. In this class, your student will have the opportunity to play a sight word game called Spin the Wheel from Word Wall. The wheel will be spun and show a word for the student to read. If the student does not yet know the word confidently, the word will stay in the wheel. If the student does know the word confidently, it will be removed from the wheel! This makes it fun and engaging for students as there is reward and excitement in learning more words and as a result having them removed from the wheel. My teaching style is fun and encouraging. And my hope is that your student loves learning their sight words through this game!

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
I graduated from high school in 2016 and went to Bible School. I began volunteering in the public school system and realized that I had a passion for helping children learn. I then became an Educational Assistant for the next four years. A few years ago I began my own tutoring business for students in elementary and middle school. I taught all of the main subjects and helped many different students. Now I am looking to continue tutoring online!

I value my students. I love building relationships with them as well as creating and fostering a safe environment for them to learn in. I am a firm believer in teaching with joy and patience for learners. I want my students to have fun and enjoy the process while learning.
ABOUT ME!
I got married to my amazing husband just over a year ago. We love spending time with family and friends, eating good food, watching movies, playing games and exploring new places. We recently went on a National Parks trip in the United States where we visited seven parks! I enjoy cooking, baking, organizing and reading books!レビュー
