Campers will improve their confidence and experience the dramatic process from audition to performance. They will also explore myths and fables from around the world in an interactive way. 

I am an experienced youth theatre director and elementary school teacher, passionate about introducing children to the world of theatre. I hold an English and Theatre degree from the University of British Columbia, in which I was able to explore stories and storytelling traditions from diverse countries and cultures. I then took my Education degree with a specialization in Indigenous Education, which gave me tools and best practices in introducing not only Indigenous content but also content from other marginalized cultures to classes I lead. I bring this experience with me into my teaching practice in all capacities.

It would be helpful for campers to spend some time rehearsing their play outside of camp time.

I will use be paying for performance rights for a fable-based play from either  The Drama Notebook or KidsinCo. I will decide on the play closer to the camp, when I see the number of registrants. Information for myth and fable stories will come from the following websites:
