US Grade 4 - 6
Beginner Level
Not all learners are on the same page. We will begin with an assessment of the learners current level, and work our way up from multiplication facts to fractions. This class is structured around the learners current knowledge level. Patience, empathy and kindness, with a focus on the learners individual interests will be how the class is taught. This class will be intensive high-dosage tutoring. This works best when the learner has the same tutor to work with over an extended period of time. Discussion and games will be how the learner interacts with me.
Learning Goals
The student will learn to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions, starting from the very beginning: whole numbers. A thorough building of the foundations will be the major focus of this class, enabling the learner to move forward with confidence.

Learning Needs
Children with significant life challenges may have difficulty maintaining a cohesive view of mathematics. For example, frequently changing schools can result in breaks in instruction leading to gaps that require empathy and patience.
Pre-Requisites
Children should be familiar with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
