このクラスで学べること

In this 10 week class the students will be introduced to basic science concepts related to the study of life. We will grow plants and explore animal diversity. Classes one and two allow students to practice sorting and categorizing. Classes three and five will provide practice sequencing.

Some classes will be discussion based, some will have students gluing pictures to practice sequencing and others will have hands on activities. PowerPoint will be used at times to provide further examples.

At the end of each class I will ask the students to draw a picture related to what we learned that day. During the next class student will be able to share their drawings as we review last weeks concepts.

Class 1, Living and Non-Living: In this class we will classify items as living, nonliving but natural, and nonliving but man made

教師の専門知識と資格
I spent three years developing and teaching an after school kindergarten program, followed by two years teaching grade one. I also worked many years in a daycare. I love the enthusiasm young learners bring and I enjoy making scientific concepts approachable for all learners.
