このクラスで学べること
In this course we will meet once a week for a lesson with the flute. During each class we will work on a new skill and improve upon what we've been learning. There are different books I teach out of: - Accent on Achievement by John O'Reilly and Mark Williams - Standard of Excellence Book 1 - Flute by Bruce Pearson - Essential Elements for Band - Flute Book 1 Most schools with a beginning band use one of these books. If your child is currently in a beginning band program with one of these books we will follow along (or one step ahead) with the band so that they are ready for their band class each week. I find that teaching with a very relaxed atmosphere creates the most progress with each learner. These classes will follow the speed of the individual so they feel comfortable and confident in their knowledge of the flute. I have been playing the flute and piccolo for over 17 years and it is my goal to inspire young musicians to love the instrument they've chosen to learn. I will wait in the classroom for 10 minutes before closing it out for the week.

Hello! My name is Megan Lanter and I live in Georgia in the United States with my husband, three year old daughter, and giant dog named Rex! I have worked with children of all ages for many years and it is always a blast to interact with the younger generation. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concord University in West Virginia.
I love to play the piano and I have been for twenty years! I also play the flute and love music history. I offer intro to reading music classes, piano and flute lessons, and if you need help with your music classes at school we can do one-on-one tutoring classes.
