I have been teaching this and similar painting lessons for 20+ years to a variety of age ranges and hold a PreK-12 Certification to teach art in Pennsylvania.

- 4 to 5 painting surfaces* - this can vary with what supplies you have at home: *stretched canvas, canvas board, canvas paper, cardboard, thick paper, recycled materials like the inside of a cereal box, etc. - 4 to 5 pieces of paper the same size as your painting surface - pencil - acrylic paint - brushes - a variety of sizes - water cup - paper towel - palette - this can be a paper plate, a sheet of wax paper, or an old magazine For easy cleanup, a placemat and apron or paint shirt are encouraged
