If you have not taken part 1, 2 or 3, please look through our class listings page and start at the beginning to enjoy the full course. In this course, students will learn how to write a risk assessment for any event. The course will be divided into the following topics: Week 13: Incident and Accident Investigation Incident and accident investigation procedures, including root cause analysis and corrective action. Week 14: Crisis Management Crisis management strategies, including crisis communication and response procedures. Week 15: Recovery and Resilience Recovery and resilience strategies for events, including post-incident analysis and planning. Week 16: Best Practices and Lessons Learned Best practices and lessons learned from event risk management experiences. By the end of this course, students will have a comprehensive understanding of event risk management and will be able to create a risk assessment plan for any event. The flexible schedule (Recorded Flex Class) allows your learners to watch the pre-recorded videos and do them at a time that is FUN for them! You can also spend extra time on the topics your child is most interested in. Since this is a flex class with no live meetings, students can log in at a convenient time to complete the week's lesson. We will be going through each week as a group and I will post the lesson weekly (depending on which day you started). The videos will contain the information required to give students a good understanding of each topic and each one will include homework for the students to undertake during the week, as part of a project. After watching each video and completing the homework assignments, students will be provided with feedback and the specific next steps on how to improve or adapt. Time frame for the Week: Mondays - The teacher will post the information needed for the week. Students can submit questions. Tuesdays - Wednesday - The teacher can answer any questions pertaining to the topic of the week. The students will need to complete any homework assignments and answer any questions in the discussion. Thursday - Students need to have all tasks completed and uploaded in the classroom for teacher feedback and discussion. Students will discuss it among themselves. Friday - The teacher will provide feedback to the class and individual students. Saturday - Sunday - The teacher will be available to answer any questions that the students may have for the week or the next week. Please note: This course requires no prior experience. *For parents/families who feel their child would benefit from this course, but their budget does not allow for it, I do offer a number of discounts for families of lower income. "I am a trained in advanced first aid for any emergencies. As an extreme sports enthusiast (scuba diving, rock climbing, stilt walking, circus skilled performer who uses fire, sky diver, bungee jumper, etc.) I have always taken it seriously to know what the risks are and prepare for them by making safety and preparation a priority. This is why I have taken many types of first aid and emergency preparation courses depending on the activity I am doing that year. I have also taken and helped teach survival camps to know what to do when lost in the wilderness or in case of a world catastrophe. I am also trained to evaluate and create custom risk assessments for any event or situation. (I learned this skill working in the entertainment industry needing to evaluate risks for circus performers at different events and locations.)"
