We will go over what a script is and how it defers from other narrative literature. How is a script different from writing a short story or novel? How to create the proper format for the different styles of scripts? What is the difference between a script and a screenplay? What is the difference between a feature screenplay and a TV screenplay? What is the difference between a sitcom and drama script? What is the difference between a feature spec script and TV spec script? What is in a shooting script that won't be in screenplays? We'll cover the following scripts and how they might be formatted: Feature Screenplays Short Film Screenplays TV Movie Screenplays Teleplays Pilot Situation Comedy Pilot Dramatic Series Spec Script Shooting Script We'll look at examples of scripts to see how what is on the printed page would translate to the screen.
