Identifying what career a student wants to pursue is a major decision! Too often, students choose a profession and start pursuing it without knowing if it suits them well. 

This flex class will help steer them in the right direction!

Learners will:
* Take a personality test
* Learn their personality code
* Learn how to find jobs that fit their personality
* Learn how to research careers and understand important things to look for

Class breakdown:

Week 1: Holland Personality Assessment Video
* I will guide the learners through a Holland Personality Test. They will determine their Holland Personality Type and what it means.
* Learners will be encouraged to message me the results of their personality test and I will give them feedback on their score.
* I will post a document that explains the holland personality types.
* Time commitment: about 30 min

Week 2: Personality Career Search and Education Type Video
* I will teach the learners how to use their Holland Personality Type to find jobs that fit their personality. I will teach them about the five levels of education and what types of jobs they can expect from each.
* Learners will be encouraged to message me questions about careers they have discovered.
* I will post a document with the links shown in the video and a description of the five levels of education.
* Time commitment: 30 min - 1 hour

Week 3: Career Research Deep Dive and Conclusion Video
*I will teach the learners how to research careers in order to find the best one to fit their needs. They will learn why developing their career early is important. 
*Learners will be encouraged to message me a chosen career and I will give feedback on what steps they will need to take to pursue that career.
*Time commitment: 30 min - 1 hour (or more)

Student interaction is not mandatory, but is recommended. 

Content will be shared every Wednesday, 1:00p EST.

This is a flex class. Students can learn at any time! There are NO live meetings for this class. I will post instructional videos and other learning materials weekly.
