Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
Intermediate - Advanced Level
During this 12 week, multi-day course, students will be meeting once a week to learn about how to draw human anatomy in depth. Each class, we will be building on the previous lesson and developing our observational skills and artistic drawing techniques.

While learning from the inside out about anatomical drawing and building up our understanding of human movements and gestures. We will finesse proportional drawing, perspective and foreshortening which are advanced techniques. To achieve this, students will draw alongside the teacher step-by-step to build up the layers of the human body and its features though they will also be given images in class to study and draw from on their own. Students are encouraged to ask for help along the way to clarify their drawings or skills.

**Please note: we will be drawing the bone structure and muscles of humans, so students can have a basic understanding of what is happening below and above the skin.
We will be drawing the male and female forms and because this class will have under-aged students we will be drawing figures in a way as to make sure that everyone feels comfortable. The images for this class will be clothed figures, ranging in states of dress, from completely clothed in jeans and hoodies, to leotards, leggings, sports bras and underwear.
