In this class, students will be able to join a Minecraft server (Java edition) to play with their friends. It is a Survival world with a focus on creating an awesome fantasy world. Players can create kingdoms, cities, statues, whatever they like. If the group complies, we may also add in mods or plug-ins to make the experience even more fun. And if the world-building goes really well, we can add in a lore page that all students can interact with.
It is expected that all students treat each other and the teacher with respect and kindness. No bullying, in-game or out, will be tolerated. If a student is causing problems, such as messing with other player's builds or stealing their stuff without asking permission, they have a chance of getting kicked out of class. Students should feel safe and respected inside class and in the game.
Classes are 2 hours, where everyone will meet weekly to play games and build together, but the server will be always open throughout the week for students to jump on it at any time.
Session topics will be learner-dictated.
