Discovering Owls
We will discuss owls, share “flying” toys or stuffed animals, and read "Owl Babies" by Martin Waddell and "Little Owl's Night" by Divya Srinivisan
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Exploring Gardens
We will talk about the importance of gardens and fresh produce, learn about how apples grow, share our favorite fruits and veggies, and read the books, How Do Apples Grow? by Betsy Maestro and "Backyard Bugs" by Jill McDonald 
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Exploring Trees and Fall Leaves 
We will talk about how trees change in fall, examine and share leaves, talk about animals that live in trees, and read the two books, "The Leaf Thief" by Alice Hemming and "Hush!" by Mingfong Ho 
 Week 4
Lesson 4
Learning All About Animals 
We will talk about all sorts of animals, share our favorite animal toys or stuffed animals, and read two books: "I Just Want to Say Goodnight" by Rachel Isadora and "Rainforest Animals" by Jill McDonald 
 Week 5
Lesson 5
Exploring Trains and Vehicles 
We will talk about trains, share our favorite moving vehicles, and read "The Little Engine That Could" by Watty Piper and "Thomas and the Dinosaur" by Christopher Awdry
 Week 6
Lesson 6
Discovering Planet Earth
We will talk about the beauty of planet Earth and discuss its treasures, like rocks and minerals! We will share our favorite natural items or animals. I will bring various rocks! We will read "Planet Earth" by Jill McDonald and "Rocks & Minerals" by Jill McDonald 
 Week 7
Lesson 7
Visiting the Farm
We will talk about life on a farm, share our favorite farm animals and read "Big Red Barn" by Margaret Wise Brown and "On the Farm" by Jill McDonald 
 Week 8
Lesson 8
Having Fun for Halloween
We will join in on the Halloween festivities by reading "Peppa Pig’s Halloween" and "Little Blue Truck’s Halloween." Feel free to come to class in a costume!
