This class will work on creativity, both through writing and building with LEGO® bricks! Students will use a handout, featuring a story prompt, to write their own short story. An example may be something like, "You were diving down deep into the ocean when all of a sudden..." I have over 15 years of experience teaching elementary aged students, and hold both a Ph.D. and a M.Ed in education. I also have current licensure to teach PreK through sixth grade. My educational background includes extensive training in teaching core academic subjects, gifted/creative logic, and all manners of pedagogical methods.
-A one-page handout will be provided in the classroom upon enrollment, or your student may just use lined paper. -Your own, personal LEGO® brick collection (enough for a small build). If you do not own any bricks, consider purchasing them from the company at https://www.lego.com. -pencil
