I will be providing students with various tools, strategies, and activities that they can complete at home to practice new executive function skills. Please note, these are completely optional and are not required to participate in the group. I'm available to provide written guidance and/or feedback if the student or parent requests it.この文章は自動翻訳されています
このクラスで学べること
Executive function refers to a set of skills that allow students to do things such as plan ahead and meet goals, remain focused, follow directions, and display self-control. When we have strong executive function skills, our brains are better able to prioritize tasks, control impulses, and filter out distractions. During our time together, students will learn and practice various strategies for improving executive function skills through the use of games, strructured activities, and open discussion. Possible topics will include planning and prioritizing, staying focused, starting and finishing tasks, time-management, organization, self-regulation, and more! This group is ideal for students who are interested in executive function skills coaching but are unable to commit to one-on-one sessions. As an ADHD and family coach, my passion is working with students of all ages to develop a greater sense of self-acceptance, confidence, and autonomy. I approach every student interaction with openess, curiosity, patience, humor, and acceptance. My goal is to partner with my students to help them develop the tools and self-advocacy skills they need to feel successful and confident. Please note, coaching is NOT mental health therapy. This group is strictly intended to teach skills and strategies and does not support or provide a therapeutic outcome. As such, it should not be regarded as a substitute for mental health and/or other therapeutic services.

保護者へのお知らせ
Executive function skills take time and practice to develop. While students will be introduced to various tools, strategies, and activities during our time together, the majority of their learning will occur outside of class. I encourage parents and caregivers to support their learners by reviewing the activities I post in the classroom, providing help where needed, and encouraging practice between sessions.
