宿題:
週1時間. Students will be given worksheets to print out after the class to reinforce their learning. Because this class meets once, this is optional and they have the choice to send their homework to me to look over. They will get a vocabulary list that goes over everything they have studied.
テスト
I do not routinely give an assessment at the end of the class. However, if a student or parent would like an assessment, they may request one by emailing me.

このクラスで学べること

I bring you the third installment of Essential Japanese for travel, something that will not only build your confidence but will also give you the thought process and understanding of the Japanese language and culture.

Even though I had visited Japan and knew many of the words, I didn't know that some of these words can have several different meanings. I had used one word, instead of the correct one. Although they understood what I meant, I had made a fool of myself. Something that I do not want you to do. If you take the second part of this series and follow my instructions hopefully you won't make my mistakes.

This course will bring you essential Japanese that you need to comfortably travel as well as provide you some history and culture behind the words as well.

You will be able to:

A. Getting out of Jams
       1. Asking if English is okay/Asking if they can speak English
       2. Asking if a train or bus is heading in the right direction
       3. Asking what something is in Japanese/Asking how to read something in Japanese
       4. Asking someone to speak slowly/say something again
B. In a restaurant
       1. How to discuss and ask what food to order
       2. How to understand a server's greetings.
       3. How to ask for a recommendation for a restaurant
       4. How to say cheers
       5. What to say before and after you eat
       6. How to ask for the check

Plus as an extra bonus, I will throw in some interesting facts about the words you are learning called Sam's fun facts. Something that other courses probably won't mention.

It is recommended that you sign up for part 1 and 2 of this course before you sign up for part 3, but if you know part 1 and 2 already, then by all means sign up for part 3.

You will definitely not want to miss this class. You will be surprised, a little Japanese will take you a long way.
