Students will learn the importance of a first draft
Students will learn how to edit for a second draft

I have an M.A. in English; authored numerous essays, short stories, and novels; and taught critical reading and writing along with creative writing for over ten years. I raised all eight of my children as the timeline of video games unfolded. We've had, and still have, so much fun. The art and creativity that goes into a good video game is something I respect. There is much to be said and written about the subject.

Students will be expected to complete short writing assignments outside of class. These assignments may take 30 to 60 minutes to complete.

The instructor will read the written work of each student and give verbal and often written feedback.

The class teaches good essay writing principles. The writing topic will be a video game of the student's choice. Students should come to class with game in mind with which they've had a positive gaming experience.
