Platform and Equipment: The class can be conducted via Outschool's platform. Students will need to have the game installed on a PC or PS5. Students using a PS5 will need to have a mobile device for communication through the Outschool Zoom call. Students will need to have a character created and have progressed through the training missions prior to class.
Instructor Qualifications: I have done e-sports in a high school setting for 5 years and love bringing and sharing my love of gaming to students.
Age and Skill Level: This camp is for older students mature enough to handle the violence associated with the game. All communication will be through the Outschool Zoom calls with rules stated for the game by instructor at the beginning of class. Please note Hell Divers 2 is a mature game and parental guidance is recommended. No foul language and appropaite behavior will be to lerated by students at all times.

With over 20 years in public education, I hold a Bachelor’s in Science Education, Master’s degrees in Middle Grades Math and Computer Education/Instructional Technology, and am a Nationally Board Certified teacher with an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership. My experience spans elementary, middle, and high school levels, enabling me to effectively engage students at varying academic levels and make learning both educational and enjoyable.
My teaching philosophy centers on making technology education accessible, engaging, and relevant. I believe that understanding technology is crucial in today’s world, and my approach is to demystify complex concepts by breaking them into manageable parts.
