Students will begin reading, develop fluency, gain comprehension and practice beginning writing skills.

Assessment

詳細: Learner progress will be assessed by the teacher daily during each lesson as they observe that students are becoming comfortable, independent and fluent in their reading. Comprehension will be monitored regularly through questions and answers as well as activities on the slides that require students to demonstrate understanding. Writing will improve as students keep a regular journal that will show their progression over time. Parents can also assess their own child's progress as they become more independent during their participation in class, their own independent reading, as well as how they are using learned information and reading techniques outside of class.
