- The Over-Arching goal is that all students are successful in this class. The daily goals are that students understand the lesson being taught.
My professional background consists of a Doctorate of Education degree, with a focus on School Management and Instructional Leadership; a Master of Science degree, with a major in English, and a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in English. I hold the State of Florida Department of Education Professional Teaching Certificates in: English, Reading, English for Speakers of Other Languages, and Middle Grades. My educational background and my teaching experiences have given me opportunities to teach at various levels: middle school, high school, community college, and university. My experience also includes being a Literacy Coach for High School. At all of these levels I taught English Language Arts, Writing, and Reading. As the Literacy Coach, I trained teachers while modeling and coaching them on small group instructional strategies that hold students’ interest and improve learning. I also worked with teachers coaching, supporting, and providing learning strategies to improve students’ success through classroom instruction.
