Have you ever wanted to try a yoga class? Or, have you taken a class or two but wanted to learn more about practicing yoga at home? In this course we will cover the most common yoga poses and put them together in a few short sequences. This will allow you to have yoga sequences you can practice at home anytime! Yoga helps build balance, self esteem, coordination and helps students stay calm and relaxed. Often times though, it's hard to know where to start! In this course we will build the foundation of learning to do yoga at home.
I am a Certified Children’s Yoga Teacher and a Certified Chair Yoga Instructor. My 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training was complete through the Yoga Goddess Academy and I am also a Mentor and Coach to students going through their Teacher Training With the Academy! I teach weekly yoga classes to students of all ages and owned a dance studio for ten years. A focus for my classes has been teenage students to help build confidence and a love of creative movement, yoga and healthy exercise!

This class includes physical fitness elements. Students need a small amount of open workout space, free of hazards and a water bottle, if needed. A yoga mat is helpful, although not required. Modifications are included for poses but students should feel free to do any modifications they need for poses as well. The great thing with yoga is that each student's yoga practice can look different!
