このクラスで学べること

Students will improve their understanding of coping skills and emotional maturity, as well as explore concepts related to professionalism, communication skills, control over oneself, and responsibility using real-world scenarios and examples, hands-on activities, and interactive discussion. This will help the learner take charge of their own emotional responses to situations and allow them to feel more prepared and confident to become mature, independent Young Adults. 
I have taught healthy coping skills and emotional maturity in a class setting with Juniors and Seniors in high school for the past three years. I have observed the students in a variety of activities and interactive discussions on this topic. By request, I have modified this course for a slightly younger audience to help students learn positive coping skills before they reach teenagerhood. 
I also taught coping skills as part of an Activities of Daily Living Skills series in a mental health setting, however, this course is not intended as any type of counseling. Rather, it is intended to help learners identify healthy coping mechanisms, the reasons to avoid using negatively impactful ones, taking personal responsibility, and learning what can and cannot be controlled.
