THIS IS A SEMESTER CLASS, BUT STUDENTS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN ANY WEEK. Each week we will cover a different scientific related topic. The course will be highly interactive and will incorporate interactive student activities into the class. I work hard to provide a positive, educational and fun classroom experience for each student. The class will begin with basic information and lead in to the interactive activities which will include games and live video clips. Each class will include a worksheet focusing on the topic of the week. I love teaching students of all ages! I have over 20 years experience teaching students ranging in age from 4 to college level students. I strive to create a fun and engaging classroom where each student is eager to learn and participate. My mission is to make learning enjoyable and memorable.
My areas of expertise are communications and public speaking, but I love teaching science and animal related courses and helping students work on their reading skills. I currently travel around the country doing test prep classes for high school students.
I also have a passion for teaching younger students how to read. I have my ESL certification, a BS in Communications from the University of Tennessee and a MA in Business Management from Tusculum University.
