While listening to works of classical music and looking at classical art are an important part of cultural literacy, the main focus of this class will be creativity, collaboration, and cooperation. Musical goals of this class include: - singing with correct vocal placement (head voice) - singing bravely and with accuracy within a group and in solo situations - singing with expression and enthusiasm - active listening - maintaining beat motions and patterns with chants, songs, and recorded music - moving expressively to music - feeling thoughtful responses to music and art - beginning to understand form and function in music and art
Annette is a certified music teacher (preK through 12th grade) as well as a licensed Kindermusik educator and has over 2 years of experience in early childhood music education.
Specific supplies for classes will be listed the week before each class and additional "missions" will be listed in the online classroom for in between classes. For every class, I suggest having the following materials gathered together in a basket where learners have access to them.
