In this course, you will learn how to internalize music through conducting, singing (using solfege syllabus), notating/writing and transcribing music. The class will begin with the examining of rhythm and pulse that drives and measures, the music, and use this as a foundation for better understanding exactly what we hear. From this basis, we will sing and notate melodies and harmonies using various contemporary tunes as models. This course will use video examples, assignment explanations, and provide feedback. Each lesson is a combination of lectures via PowerPoint, listening, and written discussion about the material covered in the lesson. Students will also complete melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic dictation throughout the course. Students will complete their ear training assignments in the form of a recording and upload it to the classroom, where the instructor will provide feedback to the learner for their work. There will be melodic and rhythmic dictations where learners will interact with the instructor via video. There will also be different music applications used for the course that will encourage interaction between learners.

Learners will be provided a series of short musical examples with a recording where they will need to identify the following time signatures 2/4, 3/4, and 4/4 which is accompanied by a rhythmic exercise that will be accessed by the instructor in the classroom. レッスン 2:
𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 '𝐑𝐡𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐦 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬
Learners will be provided with a series of different poems to choose from for rhythmic dictation. Learners will be provided a series of listening examples and recordings that they will use for their assignments provided by the instructor. Learners will be able to share the words that they chose in the classroom and share their ideas about the connection between rhythm and words. レッスン 3:
Memorising the Root of the Scale: Exploring Major Key Melodies with Solfège
Learners will be able to learn about the differences between fixed 'do' and moveable 'do'. There will be a series of simple exercises that will be recorded for the instructor who will then provide individual feedback to each learner. レッスン 4:

Learners will develop their understanding of pitches and rhythms and how they are related together. This lesson will also discuss effective ways to practice ear training through a step-by-step process.
