このクラスで学べること
Join this ongoing class any time! Each week, students will follow along as the teacher directs a drawing. Students will have to guess what the drawing is as we go. Many guesses and conversations about our art is encouraged! Students will have time to color their creation and then a short literacy lesson will follow. The lessons may include topics such as parts of speech, punctuation, poetry, etc. Students will be sharpening their listening, drawing and literacy skills during this class in a fun, interactive way. Even though students will be following the teacher’s direction while drawing, students will be able to add their individual style to their art. If the student feels comfortable sharing at the end of each class, the students’ art will be showcased for everyone to see.

Students will improve hand strength, artistic ability, and listening skills during the directed drawing portion of the class.
Students will learn varying basic literacy skills such as punctuation, parts of speech, spelling and vocabulary.
Students will learn social skills as we guess and discuss each drawing and lesson.

Drawing paper Something to color with such as crayons, colored pencils, or markers Occasionally a printout will be needed along with a glue stick and scissors. Those will be available in the classroom section each week.

I have a degree in Elementary Education and have taught all subjects in an elementary classroom setting. I cheered at a division 1 college (Everyone's a LOBO!), worked as an instructor and head instructor for the National Cheerleading Association for 8 years and coached a high school varsity cheerleading team for 6 years. I am also a mama to 3 young kids and it has been life's greatest blessing!
It is my goal to help students become life long learners by teaching fun and engaging classes. Even online, lessons can be hands-on and student directed so not only do they learn new concepts, they are excited about learning MORE. Quality education is of upmost importance to me and I plan on being prepared to meet students' needs to help them succeed inside and out of the (virtual) classroom.
I also believe it is important to our health and happiness to stay active and fit. Being able to offer classes where students can be active, learn new skills, and have fun is one of my greatest pleasures. レビュー
