In this ongoing class, students will be learning to draw art life scenery (animals, landscapes, skylines) and use oil or chalk pastels techniques to paint it. We will break down elements into simple shapes and then refine our drawing. Pastel painting techniques will cover blending, layering, scumbling, stippling, sgraffito (scratching-oil only) & impasto (heavy layering -oil only) as needed for the specific project. Lessons will be in a "work with me format" with visual and audio step-by-step instructions. I will show my finished work at the start of class as an example along with the supplies needed to create it. Art freedom and fun will be emphasized in a relaxed setting. Students will be encouraged to add their creative personal touches to their work. I will offer a sharing event at the end of the class and/or I will encourage students to upload their finished work to the classroom after it dries to share with me and their art friends. Each week will be a new art project and I will demonstrate all the techniques needed to make your painting wonderful! REVIEWS of this class by awesome parents and learners like you! Use only non-toxic, child-safe art supplies.
受講に必要なもの
Pencil & eraser. Pastel paper, watercolor paper or mixed media paper. (Textured thick paper) Oil or chalk pastels set (various colors). Creamy oil pastels are much easier to layer and blend. Paper towels. Q-tips for blending. Rounded tip paint palette knife. (child-safe) If other supplies are needed for specific projects, it will be listed in the classroom for that week.
