Let's get artsy! Students will learn how to draw characters from the popular show Spongebob Squarepants & listen to some tunes. Follow along with my simple, step-by-step directions to create these fun little characters. We will draw as many of the details as possible and at the end of our class, each student will have the opportunity to share their work of art! For younger students or those who rather not free draw, I have provided SpongeBob coloring sheets. Studies show a link between studying the arts and increased literacy skills. *note*-- My classes involve student interaction and flow best with at least two learners. For this reason, in the event that my minimum learner requirement is not met, I am glad to transfer your learner to a future section or issue a full refund.

-Drawing paper -Markers and color pencils or crayons -Scissors if you'd like to cut your characters out (Parental Guidance is required for the use of scissors).

Hello my name is Miss Jess!
Welcome to my little corner here on Outschool. I am so glad you have found interest in my courses and can't wait to teach your learner. I love to teach and have been involved with leading children since I was 16 years old when I took my first job as a Summer Camp Counselor. After years of spending summers working with children, I went on to college.
I graduated with my B.F.A in Mass Communications and minor in Race and Gender Studies, where I gained skills in topics such as photography, writing, art, editing, voice acting, radio, film, and African-American history. I also spent two years as a Pop Radio Host and when I'm not teaching online, I am working as a Voice Actress and spreading awareness about representation in these fields.
I love to connect with students and to experience that moment where I know I have taught them something that will stick with them forever. I teach a variety of subjects including photography, voice acting, arts & crafts, and Black History.
