Are you ready to celebrate the diversity of our world? In this special class, students will remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) and his work to make America more inclusive and celebrate our differences. Students of different drawing abilities are able to enjoy this class as the Travel Girl is drawn using shapes, letters and lines. Travel Girl is a character created by Teacher MoMo. The Travel Girl travels the world and explores different culture. In each class, Travel Girl is featured in a unique cultural setting. The class will begin with a 5-minute introduction of MLK ; students will learn five key words to describe MLK. Next, students will look at the sample drawing that the teacher has created prior to class. This will serve as the model for drawing a personalized character. By the end of the 45-minute class, students will have a colorful drawing of rainbow friends. As the teacher, I will guide students to create a unique drawing that reflects their personalities. Class Format: 1. Introduction of MLK & 5 Key words 2. Review of a Travel Girl drawing example 3 Drawing of rainbow friends by students 4. Optional Homework
