Students will create a gingerbread house by rolling a dice. (If student does not have dice, I will roll for them!)
Each element of the house, including background details, will be chosen according to their roll.
Although the drawing will be up to chance, the placement and colors are completely up to the student!
Students will identify and discuss a gingerbread house.
Students will look at examples of gingerbread houses.
Students will use craftsmanship to neatly color their artwork.
Students will compare final artwork with one another, acknowledging the unique features of each drawing.
Students will be given multiple opportunities to share their artwork, personal stories and ideas.

Hello there! I am an art educator with a Bachelor of Science in K-12 Art Education.  I am also a wife, mom and artist!  I have taught since 2009 in public schools, a charter school and even in private art centers. 

I have a new passion for teaching online.  I truly enjoy bringing my enthusiasm for art into the homes of students.  I aim to boost artistic confidence by providing simple, yet engaging, step-by-step lessons.

I have experience teaching a variety of other subjects and strive to incorporate those core subjects into my art lessons.  I aim to encourage confidence, creativity, empathy and cultural awareness each day!
