Through hands on learning, students will create a bat. They will create this cartoon using simple shapes and lines such as circles, triangles, and ovals. In this class, we will start by making sure everyone has come with supplies. You will need a pencil, crayons, markers, paper and an eraser. Please be sure that your student has come with supplies before the class has begun. We will go over the shapes that we will be using to draw the bat. I will show step by step how to draw your own! We will get the entire drawing done, but coloring may need to be completed after the lesson. I do follow my set age limit. Please only enroll if you are within the listed age range. Thank you!

The supplies needed for this assignment are a pencil, a sheet of paper, and crayons. You will need to have these at your workspace prior to the beginning of the lesson. If you do not have these, you can pick them up from the dollar store for roughly $5-7.

Hello! I am Mrs. Holstine and I teach early childhood classes.
I teach Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies for Elementary aged students. I have taught in a formal classroom for the last five years. Two of those years were spent with first graders and the rest were spent with kindergarten kids.
I believe that kids learn best when they are interested in the subject matter. I like to get to know the students personally before jumping into a lesson. I like to relate the lesson back to their personal lives to keep the student engaged.
