Students will use drawing techniques to create this furry art project. Students will learn how to create texture and explore using pastels or crayons on a black background, which creates a very cool effect. While drawing the animal is done by following a directed drawing, the students will be encouraged to make their drawing unique and personal to them. To ensure students get interaction with the teacher, the beginning of class will start with introductions and class will end with sharing their art with the class, talking about the choices they made when creating their drawing.
